Olaudah was aware of slavery from an early age. He recalls that as a child in Africa, he and his brother or sisters were always checking for roaming rogues who abducted youngsters to offer as slaves. Once, when his moms and dads were away, he detected one rogue character and alerted the neighbors, who subdued the rogue . At the beat of a drum, purchasers rushed in to inspect the item, make their preference, and buy the slaves they wanted. Without reluctance or concern for individuals and households they separated, they brought men, females, and kids off to operate in areas and also factories and work for the riches of the empire.
